HumourThere are some rules at Overflow in which we expect you to follow when on the forum. Failure to do so will result in some sort of sanction. Please read them carefully to have an enjoyable time and to stay out of trouble.
=> Respect: please always show respect to other members. Starting arguments or flame wars is not allowed.
=> Legality: please make sure that everything you post is legal and does not break Forumotion's terms of service.
=> Advertising: please do not advertise your forum unless it is in the correct place. You are allowed to advertise your forum in your avatar and signature.
=> Avatar and Signature: please watch what you have as your avatar and signature. Anything considered inappropriate will be removed promptly.
=> Plagiarism: (Can also be known as copyright) If you're going to show us any class of design supposly, saying that is 'yours' you have to show proof that you did it.
You can't claim someone elses Music, Designs, ideas, etc. If someone says or informs us that you stold someones idea or work, the thread/post will be automatically locked and you will be banned permanently!
=> Do not bump an old thread: Do not post in a thread that is considered old (2-3 months), or that doesn't have any discussion value to it.
The rules are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Please check back regularly to remind yourself of the rules and to also stay out of trouble! We have these rules so that you can have a good time here at Overflow. ;)
Sanctions
We do occasionally mess up but we must accept the consequences and move on. Below are the possible sanctions that you can receive for breaking the rules.
All warnings, reminders and bans are permanent. No exceptions. ;)

Sanctions

- Reminder: This is the most common thing that is handed out. Reminders are handed out when a minor rule has been broken and that the offence is not too severe. Three reminders of any kind turn into a warning, and any subsequent reminders of kind leads to a subsequent warning and so on.
- Warning: This is handed out when three or more reminders are accumulated on your account.
- Heavy Warning: This is handed out when you have conducted yourself very badly. You should watch your behaviour on the forum if you receive one.
- Critical Warning: This is handed out when you have seriously misbehaved on the forum. You should be extremely careful as any further reminders or warnings will lead to a ban.
- Ban: This is handed out when a member has accumulated enough warnings and reminders. It is also possible to receive one if a staff member has a good reason for doing so.
- Automatic Ban: This is handed out when a member has joined just to deliberately break the rules and has no intention of participating in our discussions.
- Avatar Removal: This is handed out if after being told to remove your avatar and you fail do so within 24 hours. You lose the right to display an avatar.
- ChatBox ban: This is handed out if you are behaving like an idiot in the ChatBox.
- PM Disabled: This is handed out if you misuse the PM system. You lose the right to send private messages.
- Isolation: You lose the right to participate in Community Events and purchase from the Exchange Core.
- Fine: You will be fined an amount of your Points.
